Uranium Glass Earrings in new Sterling Silver with Vintage Princess cut Uranium Glass stones, 6mm glows under black/UV light

These beautiful new sterling silver earrings contain vintage Princess cut Uranium glass stones in 6 mm squares.  I thought I'd share the history of this Stone. I came across someone from the UK, through a Uranium glass group, that had New Old stock some of it still in its original packaging. They had somehow made connections with a German company that bought the contents of a Czechoslovakian Warehouse that had been boarded up for the past 40 years. Part of that inventory was these Uranium glass stones. The 6 mm squares came in the original packaging, and it turns out that they were imported from Austria. The gentleman who founded the company invented a revolutionary way of cutting stones and opened his factory in Austria in 1895, and five generations later it is still owned and run by the same family. I just thought it was an interesting history and you might like to know about the journey the stone made to arrive in your piece of jewelry.  Check out my other uranium glass jewelry, and I do special orders.
